Segunfunmi Olajide is a technology and digital policy advisor with deep experience operating at the intersection of technical systems, internet governance, regulation, and business strategy across Nigeria, Africa, and global multistakeholder forums. He currently serves as Vice Chair for Policy at the ICANN Business Constituency, where he contributes to shaping global internet governance positions affecting domains, data access, trust, and the resilience of digital infrastructure.
Before and alongside his policy work, Segunfunmi built hands-on experience in software development, systems deployment, and technology consulting, supporting startups and SMEs, as well as schools, government agencies, and mission-driven organizations. This technical grounding allows him to assess policy not only from a regulatory perspective, but from the standpoint of how rules affect real-world products, platforms, operational scalability, and innovation, particularly for growing and resource-constrained businesses.
His work focuses on identifying emerging regulatory and policy signals early and translating them into actionable insight, helping organizations respond before policy debates harden into enforcement. With practical experience spanning internet governance processes, regulatory and digital policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, capacity development, executive advisory, and technology strategy, he bridges complex policy environments with business and technical realities.
He leads Heritech Consulting as a policy-first advisory firm, guided by a vision to position African businesses and innovators to compete confidently in global digital markets by turning policy awareness into strategic advantage. Dami is a Regulatory Strategy & Insights Analyst at Heritech Consulting, where he supports evidence-based policy analysis, financial governance, and strategic insight for businesses operating across Africa, the UK, and global digital markets.
He holds a BSc in Management with Accounting and an MSc in Management with Data Analytics, giving him a strong grounding in financial management, quantitative analysis, and data-driven decision-making. This academic foundation enables him to approach complex regulatory, financial, and operational questions with rigor and clarity.
Dami brings experience from corporate and higher education environments in the UK, spanning finance, data analysis, and business advisory roles. At the University of Manchester, he worked with complex financial portfolios, delivering accurate reporting, compliance-aligned analysis, and governance-focused financial insights. In a business analyst role, he supported consulting projects for housing councils in London, applying structured problem-solving, financial modeling, and data analysis to improve operational efficiency and inform policy-aligned decisions. He has also held data-focused roles at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he managed large datasets, conducted advanced analysis, and produced actionable insights to support institutional strategy and planning.
